New Duffers' T-Shirt
As from May 2008, the Changi Duffers are having our new team T-shirt, with our Changi Duffers Logo, for identification. The T-shirts are available in 2 colors- Black and Lime Green.
All Duffers members are required to wear the team T-shirt in all our official games. The first event being the coming Captain vs. Vice Captain game on June 7, 2008.
On the day, all Captain's players will be in black and the Vice Captain team in green.

Captain vs Vice Captain Game
Hello all fellow duffers,
Please reserve morning of Saturday 7th June 2008 free for our Captain versus Vice-Captain game to be played at Changi Golf Club.
As the name implies, 2 teams will be formed and our Changi Duffers Captain and Vice-Captain (Raymond Chan and Alan Loi respestively) will each lead a team to play against each other. A little like Ryder's Cup. Wager will be lunch. Losing Team will buy lunch for all (each losing team golfer to contribute $30 for his/her loss). Winning team will get a free lunch.
Participant Size is 20 including guests. Priority will be given to members. However, guests are welcome to fill up any empty slots on a first-come-first-serve basis by contributing a Guest Fee. If guest is in losing team, contribute Guest Fee PLUS Wager. Registration will be open later in mid-May. Closing date will probably be end May so that there is enough time for the team captains to do their stuff and get the team together, get them all ready and charged up for the battle. Of course they will allso need to deliberate how they want to field their players.
If there is insufficient players, the team and their captain need to do some recruitment to beef up their team. The competition format is still not confirmed by the team captains. Several ideas : individual matchplay, team stableford, top best N stableford points from each team, etc...
Whatever it is, just get yourself prepared and be ready for it. It will be fun and exciting. I hope you will be able to join us for this game. The sweet victory is something that you will share with your team mates for a long time and I am sure the team captains will be trying to motivate their respective teams to perform their best and show the other team what good teamwork and team spirit means.
If you have any questions, please raise them preferrably via email for all to know. More details for this event will be released over the next couple pf weeks.
YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE
To facility the organising of such event, I would like to propose that any Changi Duffer event to proceed so long as there is more than 50% of members playing. Please let me know whether you are agreeable or not by Friday 9th May. If I do not hear any objection from you by then, I will assume you have no objection. If there is enough support from members, I will proceed to add this into the Handbook as our guideline to events.
